Dog Training Collar - Different Type for Different Needs
The first dog training collar many people find ideal for field training, obedience training and basic training is the electronic collar. The collar is operated with a remote control and can be set at different shock levels depending on the dog and the threshold they have for the shock. Some dogs can tolerate a higher shock level, but you still have to keep the level in a comfortable zone so as not to harm the dog. These types of collars do have great results for training purposes, but you need to know how to use them properly.

They work the same as the shock collar for one dog, except you have a separate control frequency for each dog. Experienced dog owners should use the collar and only after the dog has had obedience training. It is not wise to take a dog to the field and expect them to obey you without a structured training session. They will simply not know what to do when you are using the collar.
When you choose a dog training collar, you must select the right size in order for the collar to work properly. It needs to be a little loose so it is not too tight around the neck of the dog. A tight collar is going to confuse the dog, because it will be uncomfortable from the start so any corrective action will cause the dog significant discomfort which will be an obstacle to effective training.
